Stung in the heart, wallet and jaw. What a weekend.

Other than the movie outing on Friday night, the past weekend seems rather..... in a way, wasted.
Wasted cos I always felt that weekends should be days of activity, not slacking around at home. But that's what I did. What's worse was that it's the Deepavali long weekend somemore! Woke up on Sat close to noon cos I reached home the previous day at 4am after sending everyone back.... driving can be mentally draining! But I'm not that bad yet... someone woke at 3 plus! =P Spent the entire day rushing my photo edits for NUS/KEVII wushu and ECO. Over 300 photos! Not to mention updated my blog page. Dun even know once my sch starts...will I be able to update this page anymore......

Kanna abit of fever when I woke up on Sun morning. Felt the joints aching and I knew something was wrong. The cough and flu I had the previous night got worse and I felt weak and dizzy. I know that the fever isn't at a bad stage yet so I used the tried and tested minor fever cure: Drink lots of water, wrap urself up warm and WILL yourself mentally to recover. By noon, half recovered liao and arranged to meet up my bros Guanghao, Guoping and Peilei for a show in the evening.

Met up the couple at Vivo for dinner at KFC. Once I arrived, they immediately sniggered and suan/questioned me about my msn nick..What the hell siah. The Hot devil drumlets are still a yum even though it's the 2nd time I'm taking them. While the new isotonic drink from 7Up is like.... well YUCKS! Actually it taste the same as 100+ and H-Two-O and other isotonic drinks. I hate the taste of isotonic drink! Taste like you drinking your own refrigerated sweat down again! Urgh!
Shopped at Page One for Lightroom 2 guidebooks. Found a few but decided against buying it so soon. Went over to Challenger and see if they have the program. Can't find it so I asked a sales person near the cashier counter.

falconz: Excuse me do you have Adobe Lightroom 2?
Salesstaff: Erm what?
falconz: Adobe Lightroom 2?
Salesstaff: Erm Adobe which one?
falconz(still patiently): Lightroom 2
Salesstaff: (looks slowly at the display boxes behind the counter.....)(there were only 3 Adobe products!!!)
15 secs later.....
Salesstaff: We have Adobe photoshop Elements 7 and ........blah blah....
falconz(as though I cannot see that!): So this is all you have?
Salesstaff (looking blur): Yeah this is all we have....

What a waste of 5 minutes of my life.....felt like 5 months to me.....
feel like slapping him but on the account that he resembles (both attitulde and the way he talks) Simple Jack.... I let him off.....

Next: Canon store!
Yes I am a Nikon person but doesn't mean I cannot play with Canon right?
Went inside just as they were about to close. Toyed around with the 50D and the 18-200mm lens. Not bad..... but too bad they din let us fonder the 5D markII .....looking forward to see the video mode.

Guoping finally came and we din have much time to catch up before the movie started. Toked abit about how he's being bullied.. oh well big company mah.. gotta deal with it.

Max Payne was, as the name implied, a Payne to watch... but maybe cos I expected too much out of it. I always expect good things from Mark Wahlberg. He still delivers but the film did not. The trailer gives the impression of superatural stuff but actually it's all just hallucination. The pacing of the show was bad... the slow parts were very slow and even the action sequences failed to lift it up much either. It kinda makes you hope sooo much for a 'worth watching' scene and when you think it finally came... it anti climaxes you by giving u a lame one. The ending is also kinda abrupt too.
Doesn't help that the kid sitting next to me is some irritating gina kia.

Last day of Long weekend: Met up Jimmy for lunch at my 17 yr fav chicken rice store at my lao jia there and headed to funan centre and taka Art Fren. Former is to take a look see at LR2 and the latter is to get more art supplies for Jimmy's R's present. At Ricebowl, couldn't tahan temptation and bought LR2 since it was the Educational edition and only cost $148 which is only a slight OuCh! to the wallet compared to the commercial one at $480! And they are totally the same except that Adobe wants you to play nice and not use it for commercial purposes if you get the cheapo version. Hah. Resisted the Guide book(cost like 50% of the software!!!) though. Will wait for Kinokuniya's 20% sale then get it. In the meantime, I will play around with it first... Peilei, if you are reading this....please help me borrow from the library!! Thanx ah!
Nice and simple packaging but why no literature inside? Just a DVD box and the disc? Hope I have time to play with this program.

On the way to Funan suddenly a bee flew into my path and got stuck in my helmet. Din know until it stung me on my left side jaw under my ear lobes. Quicky reached in and grabbed it out. Onset of pain is immediate but I managed to ride to the next petrol station and asked Jimmy to help remove it using my multitool keychain's tweezer.

There's the sting.... can also see the venow sac trailing.. prob was a bee then. A dead bee.

This is the second time I kenna stung in 2 months!
Maybe I'm as sweet as honey....
ok hold ur puke till you finish reading...

Had to turn down Hang Chong's kind invit to go nature walk with him and some of his nat*re soci*ty people. Since only us couple of lao chiaos, not with a guided tour of noisy and sua koo rich uncle and anuties with nothing better to do, I was really looking forward to it. But the thunderstorm made sure I had to give it a miss. Sad. Well there will be a next time.

Ended the day doing my yr end secret project......heheh.....this is an oxymoronic statement. Go figure.

It's daunting to start from scratch with such a powerful software......
Already starting to get the hang of this Lightroom 2 ...........

Nothing much yet but luv the local adjustment tools and convenience compared to Adobe Zhao Pian Dian.....

Ok you can go and puke already.
