The back portion of Tang dynasty City has already become a flat piece of boring field. The above pic is taken while driving past on the expressway. Not very clear and dunno why the pic is abit distorted. Can make out the field behind the tree?
The part nearer to the 'main city walls' is still under construction. The contractors already cleared the vegetation and half build replicas. Just need to flatten the soil and cover it with grass to make it as boring as the first pic. Haiz.
This is what this portion of the area looks like a few months ago before the start of the de-construction.
Full of beautiful casuarina like trees, thick shrubs and other vegetation, making it a suitable bird sanctuary. I could have sworn that a brahminy kite used to live there. You can see it soaring around in the sky every single afternoon. I did managed to see it in close proximity in one of my visits there. Sometimes there would be more than one of them. Other than nature, there are also quite a number of half completed China replica halls. Probably left unbuilt when the place was abandoned due to lack of business and therefore, the funds to complete them.
The first visible sight of the destruction to the main area started with the Pagoda! As you can see, it's lost it's crown! And if you look closely enuf, there is actually an excavator on top!!! How the hell did they move an excavator to the top???
It's really a pain to see the City torn down slowly. I will blog about this place in full detailed pics another time.....Below is the pic of the Pagoda before the destruction.
Nice isn't it? The view from the top ain't too bad either!!
2 little coincidence on Wednesday:
Received a sms from Royden the previous night but din see it till next morning as I usually leave my HP to charge in the living room. Haven seen him for some time. It's a message from him to meet up this friday. So damn paiseh.. this friday is my first day of tak chek. So requested a postponement till next tues. Din get a reply so I assume he is asking the rest first.
Went IMM for lunch with my boss as usual and as I was getting out of the car, I get this feeling someone was walking over. It was Royden! Kaoz.... Looks like we met faster than planned huh?? He was there for lunch too. Told me he planned the getogether cos Ah Beng was going India soon.
Contacted Cat about the dropper and liquid vials with measurement markings sometime last week. After a trip to NUS to fix up a cylinder, made a slight detour to Bi*p*lis to pick up the 'package'. Somehow our little rendezvous was a little bit like an underworld contraband trade with the droppers placed inside an envelope marked- Private and Confidential!! hah!!
But then again... as Whale mentioned before: Every time the Maid meets up with the Cat, it must always be up to no good!! Hahah.. He is so right.. and I think Cat will also knod in agreement. No worries for Zuming this time... it ain't a plot to kill him and collect the insurance payout. Cat was not as chao dar from the Laos trip as I thought. So no black cat to ruin my luck that day.
Went home after work and guess what I found in the letterbox? It's a Post card that Cat sent to me from Laos!! Hah!! So jun again!! This weekend should really buy 4D.. Anyway the Laos postal service really superb! Cat is already back for like more than 1 week then this postcard reach!! Even slower than Baby's postcard from Taiwan a few weeks back!! A big thank you to da Baby and Cat for writing!

Luv dark chocs.....
But this ice cream is ridiculously priced! Cost like $3.90 at 7-11 shell!
Hope it's not due to that cringe inducing "my name is Eva" advert!
Shhh.. but dun tell anyone.. as I was taking out the first piece from the fridge, the adhesive of the packaging was sorta defective and the ice cream just slid out of the package into the fridge! Oh well .......boh chup and took another one!
Today last day of training. Tomorrow is a new phase in life.
1st day of Tak Chek!! Better change my mind set NOW!!! I will not fail myself again!
