Finally got to meet that mugger bugger Guoping for lunch yesterday after my physio. Had a stroll through Holland Village/close a place where we grew up in even though we din knew of each other's existence at that time! HV is somewat like a kampung to me....where I used to spend most of my pri/sec sch days there cos a large part my frens used to reside there. But time moves move most things....including ppl. Now most of them, inclusive of me, have found greener pastures elsewhere. Namely Choa Chu Kang.
Hope this nice little neighbourhood remains mostly the same at least for the next ten yrs. It'll be shame to see it change.

Had to give wushu a miss but it was worthwhile. Attended the 2nd Ninjado internal tournament at Ngee Ann Poly. Had a great time there wif my juniors. As usual, they try to rip each other apart. Kinda disturbing to see them turning from close frens joking around to fierce rivals kicking n puching each other like no tomorrow in a matter of seconds. But that's the name of the game.


This time we were also joined by Ninjado practitioners from Marine Parade CC. All were kids 16 n below so it's a surprise that the champ of sparring went to one of their boys named wilfred(who was surprisingly tall n built by the way). Also got to know a British named Jon. Even though he's just an observer there, he's the guy that really impressed me wif his skill. Hadn't seen anyone wif such skill since.......heck. actually never seen anyone as good as him in S'pore yet when it comes to practical fighting. N for u girls out there: he's got quite some seh too!!!


Got acquainted wif him n his uncle (who owns a restaurant in Clark Quay) n today I'm heading to his place to "exchange pointers". Too bad my knee is in such condition n he's flying off soon(back to Britain where he is running his own martial arts weapon store! Cool!). Or I believe I could have learnt more from him!
We'll see how later..........
