New--Year, bicycle, Urban Exporation

Beginning of the year has always busy.... New year, both International and Chinese, my bdae, and tons of other frens bdae, workload increasing...along with blood pressure....hahah...even now the holiday period is over with not another one for months to come!! This yr the calendar has bad holiday management... Squeezing all the long holidays together. Oh well guess I slacked enuf already. There's always weekends to look forward to.

Let's see...what happened lately?

Zuming the big fat whale manages to escape from his big bad supervisor and gets a new job.....along side China and India professionals....hope he wun pick up their accent.

Helped juniors do up a extremely simple but aesthetically nice banner for the open house...I`ll post a pic here soon.....

Bought a Eeyore soft toy from mini toons for Miz Chan....they do resemble in more ways than one hahaha!!
Oh no just noticed...valentine day coming...Help! Heh.

Just bought a new bicycle over the weekend...finally!!! Always wanted to cycle around esp at night but dun feel comfortable borrowing smeone else's bike. Like it alot even though it's just a entry level MTB. Tricked it up with my Inova 24/7 at the rear so it's various flashing/strobing modes can prevent sleepy drivers from kissing up my rear at night. Also installed two flashlight clamp at the front for a low powered but long runtime flashlight and a SUPER "burn-ur-corneas-as-I-flash-u" light for road hoggers!!
Wah... But see beh sueh......my first ride yesterday from depot rd to Jurong west was cut short... kind of entangled the chain and twisted one of the link near Biopolis. Kaoz. Had to call for help to transport the bike home. Guess my "first ride" curse came back. Something must go wrong on my first ride... be it motorcycle, lorry, or just a bicycle. Fortunately it's just a small prob. Going for overnight recce this sat for my ECO project. Hopefully it will be a smooth ride from here on.

As for my weekly Urban Exploring log: Went to this abandoned building which I have always wanted to go. been passing by it almost every weekday at work. So far this is the biggest one I have been to. And quite different too. After so many years of Urban Exploring, this is the first time I felt precarious about entering. Only later when I armed myself wif the brightest torchlights and in the company of 2 other frens, do I dare check the place out. The first few floors were normal, as with other sites, empty and dusty. Then when we got to the 4th storey, supposedly the office floor, did we encountered some people which I assumed to be illegal immigrants. Did not get to see them, fled too fast, they heard us and locked themselves into the rooms. Heard plenty of flustered commotion behind the locked doors. Think it must be the thousands of lumens that we projected that made them think we are govt ppl! Hate to think of the alternative stuff they could have done to us. Didn't need anyone to remind us that. We quickly got outta the area! Funny thing is that all of us heard the squeaky noise when they were in the room. Bangalahs with sneakers?? HaH!!
