Tonight's feature: Me n the kitchen window....


~*Takes a deep whif of the cool night air*~

Always enjoyed looking out my kitchen window late at night. Could be hereditary, since my dad also have the same habit. Few things can compare to a breath of fresh cool air that comes wif the calm of the night. Esp when my apartment is not really that well ventilated wif all the windows sealed like a maximum security prison.
Part of the enjoyment comes from the fact that my neighbourhood ppl r early kooners.....By 1am, almost all the lights from opposite appartments are off. The only illumination being a few street lamps n the moon, when juxtaposed against a cloudless sky, will give a surreal n somewhat eerie atmosphere when complemented wif the haze from Megawati's backyard.
All this darkness n cool air really sits well wif the nocturnal calm which is a stark contrast of wat the road directly below is like during the day. Traffic jams, jams n more jams. Maybe its this Jekyl/Hyde difference that allows one to notice the serenity that night brings.
No, I do not engage in any soul searching or contemplate any issues while I enjoy this calmness. .... I just let my mind be free.....free to wander....its a great way to unload after a long day.

Yeah come to think of it, I didn't get this habit from dad....his trip to the kitchen window is not to enjoy the night air.......its to smoke without being caught by my mom!(penalty: constant nagging throughout the night n maybe next day too!)
