Bleahz....
It's bland.
totally disappointed. Not that it's horrible tasting, but I was hoping it to be something like those spicy sauce I tasted while living at Ban Apa. That was the best and nothing in Singapore comes close. Instead of tossing the whole jug of perfectly edible chili down the chute and waste it all, I thought of a perfect plan to save it (for my stomach)!
Let me present to ya.....
To me, no food no matter how bad can't be saved by the aromatic saltiness of Japanese soy sauce and the spicy tanginess of Tabasco. At first I added only the soy sauce and it tasted good enuf already .... but of cos...... why stop there? So Tabasco was also added. It was kinda a blind bravado, winner taste it all and loser throws it all up thing.
Wow.... it was fantastic, the flavour dun counteract each other at all. (at least it is to me! Warning to the weak of duodenum: do not try this at home!). Those who are going to do the Jie Mei's job of torturing the groom on wedding mornings need not look here for their suan-tian ku-la. The groom might even enjoy this concoction.
Just received my al cheapo no-brand China made IR filter. Never tried infrared photography so this filter can be a good start up point. The real good quality 77mm versions can reach a couple of hundred USD each!
No time to try today so I just lugged my D300 with AF 35mm f2 lens together with the IR filter along to my customer's place. After official business is done, it's 吃蛇 time! Din bring along a tripod so the dashboard of the van shall do. Yeah the engine's vibration will affect the picture but I ain't prep to be cooked inside the vehicle with the air con off! In fact, it was so hot that there was a paranoia that the camera might melt away in front of my eyes while waiting for the long exposure!
It's abit crazy..... even under such blazing sun, ISO 640 and f4 apert.... each shot still need around 13 seconds of exposure! The filter practically blocks off everything from the front so the autofocus will not work and I gotta do it the old fashion way of focusing. You are also firing blind cos the viewfinder is totally black. No way of composing ur pic. Yeah I could have screw on the filter AFTER composing but this is only a trial shot.... gotta rush back to office liao.... heheh...
Just shot a roll of Fujifilm acros 100 on my Lubitel at Sentosa (mostly) with the wushu seniors a couple of weekend back. My fav has always been Kodak's 400TX but after trying this film, it might convince me to defect! Even under the harsh sentosa sun, the pictures came out extremely well! Did I mentioned those pics are metered using the sunny 16 rule? The Lubitel dun come with a light meter! Here's a few shots.. the rest are in facebook already.
Oh yeah in closing, not to disappoint Joshua: he's chee hong skill always reaches a new level every time I see him. and he's proud of it. That chee hong moment outside the female toilet (almost become inside) was incredulous...
