Snippets from recent events

Recap(from wateva my limited memory can claw back).

Exams was over the CNY period so din have much mood to study so prob got crap results for the exam paper esp AOS. Was hoping to get very good grades for Physio due to the extremely good midterm paper (I was top in class! Hell prob froze over that week) but my assignment and final exam paper prob pull me down again.
Next sem we can only take 2 modules. Haiz.... Everyone wanted to take 3 since
1) we are used to the workload already,
2) We wanna clear as many modules as possible before the going gets tougher in yr 2!
Oh well...I'll take whateva tat comes. If it's gonna be a relaxing term then I'm gotta seriously build back what was lost. Which means regular hill/stairs run, and restarting gym sessions.
On the fun side of things, it also might mean I will have more time for my Holgas, Lubitel and Nikons again! Currently back into shooting film(135 & 120 formats). More about this in future posts. Got plenty of scanned pics to post too!
Oh yeah mental note for this coming Monday:
Meet Kester to clarify with Esther and apply for new semester. Heh.
That will be another 3+K down...which means this month I will spend like 6k+??? Next few month better prep to eat more grass......

After 1 full sem, seems like the classmates are finally getting to know each other better. Hardly had the time to communicate when you are in a part time course. What little time you get for interactions are in the evening classes which were alway so rushed. Had a good time toking cock at the Tiong Bahru hawker centre with Edmund, Damian, Jeremy and Kester after the final paper. Upcoming will be a BBQ session at Edmund's place later this month where I will be trying out his Maserati Spyder. Hope I dun drive it through a wall. Never handled 400 horses before. There's also a paintball session tomorrow but too bad I had to miss the fun. No prob, there's always another time. Either jio them again or maybe Njd people. Watching Breakout at the Esplanade tomorrow with Joyce. Hope it's worth the month-long anticipation!

Met up with the Biotech ppl Weiling, Keven, Wai Heng, and Winnie at the latter's place for sort of a reunion steamboat lunch on 1st Feb. My Chem Eng kakis Colin overslept and arrived abit late while Wilson arrived late by more than an hour as usual. The very next day is AOS paper but I haven met up with the group for about a year liao. Somehow I managed to fly them kite the previous 2 meet ups due to other urgent matters. Guess their timing for getogathers are always very bueh gam for me one.
Really too long never catch up liao. Shocked to hear that Wai Heng is now together with Winnie. At the meal table I resisted the urge to laugh and cringe thinking back at the past. When at a time the people sitting at this very table, who their hearts belonged to, and who they are with now. It would have been more complete if Priscilla and her bf joined us. But then I would have prob lost my lunch laughing. It would have made the "musical chair" more complete. Only a handful of people will know what I mean.
To think I was almost in the "game".
It was interesting. It was agonising beyond words. And thank god it is in the past now.

One of their fav pastimes enacted after lunch...

After that, still no mood for mugging exams so joined Colin and his fren Atiqah for a walk at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. They were conditioning for the upcoming Kota Kinabalu trip at the end of Feb. Suppose to join them but din feel like spending another 1 k and 5 days of my leave in a row right now.
Got abit lost and only walked out of the trail when the Npark people were about to close the entrance for the day. A good workout but rather uncomfortable due what I was wearing as the hike was impromptu. Din like sweating in jeans and and was lugging my bulky photo gears in the forest.

Wanted to quickly waste away the Kodak Tri-x film so I can quickly go process it. Therefore here are some pics of BTNR!

Would have fared better in berms and these shoes which I bought during the CNY sale. Pretty gd 30% off but still burnt a large crater in the pockets. Colin ended buying the same shoes 3 weeks later as Timberland already cleared all the sizes of the models he wanted. So no choice had to lan lan buy same one. Lucky I din go KK with him this round. Damn gay siah. Hahaha!

Earlier this week also met up BP, BB and Weijie for dinner at Telok Blangah Crescent Market which is due to close for a 10 month reno this coming Monday. Gonna miss the roast chicken wings which in my opinion is the best in Singapore. At least fei lou porridge, another well kept culinary secret of my area, is gonna continue at another hawker centre. After dinner, we moved our conversations over to the opposite Mt Faber Safra. Weijie is as noisy and entertaining as back in New Town days. Most of the topics focused on BB and Weijie as they lament on the events that lead to their break ups recently. Not with each other mind you. With their individual former significant halves.

Jane brought her daughter along for the tok kok session!
I treat her to abit of ice cream at Ya kun
And a group mug shot at the play ground.

On to more random stuff:

This ATM abit sot sot already... gave this screen when Jane tried to draw out $200. Ended up she had to draw the $200 in 5 transactions of $40. I usually see the "unable to dispense $20, Proceed to withdraw $50?" screen. This is a first.

Testing the fisheye lens on Shipei (Yes, that's really her!) using my handphone cam.

For my bdae gathering: Shepherd pie made by Shipei. Joyce made jelly and cake too. Lotsa food that day. Really appreciate all the effort people.
Underneath the pie: All the chicken meat sank to the bottom in the baking process! Resulting in a bottom that resemble the sulci of your brain! Hehehe... I nicknamed the pie chicken graveyard for obvious reasons....

Random colourful pics of the river bank near clark quay.......

Skins. But this time it ain't due to sunburn and I ain't gonna find 10 different uses for them. Ouch.
Right and left sole....

These few days will be walking like a robot with a stick up my a**. Blisters after playing ball games with the juniors at NP Kismis court, followed by soccer at Kismis field on thurs. Basically inverting my feet and running on my heels and lateral surface of my feet due to the pain. But still manage to score 4 goals!! Hahaha....irony of things.
Feet was totally black after the games and the stains refuse to budge after scrubbing with soap. Joshua sugg using bleach on the feet but I told him that if it's too white you will end up looking like B*ng*l*hs with pale soles and palms! Heh. The other victims were Jimmy and Joshua who was also barefooted. Yesterday Joshua and I had some fun limping down the escalator in Plaza Sing at 4am after the late night show. This is the first time the gals walked faster than the guys. Pathetic.
