Not very lucky when it comes to driving recently. Got a total of $250 worth of deficit from driving related incidences.
1) Kanna fined for parking at loading bay at my downstairs: $100
&
2)"Waxing cost" to the bumper of a car which I accidentally knocked into when going home after the Liang Seng trip with the juniors last Sat: $150.
And there was not even a sign of damaged to the bumper, internal and external(inspected by car workshop). The owner insisted to have it inspected and waxed. Wax a bumper $150? Maybe he had his whole families' leg waxed too. What to do? My fault, nothing much I can say. Pay up and shut up.
Next time someone hits me in the rear maybe I should go add a twin turbo charger, some big big exhaust end can, supercharged air filter, GT wing, the works........"Hey, no choice lah, got to wah3 this axhorst so match repainted bumper can look nice nice mah"!
Was intending to save up for the next couple of months to purchase a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM. Will definitely need a wide angle in my Photo-Archive sessions. Guess have to postpone that. Even eyeing some of the 70-200mm telephotos to use in the upcoming yr end tournament. But speaking of that event, hopefully my efforts will not go to waste and it will be a reality. I am doing this for the sake of the practitioners. Hope I will not let everyone down. More info on this as it materialise. Hate to generate too much hot air.
Made a trip today to Winston's place at Humes today afternoon to return him the SB-600. Had a good chat with him on the historical/abandoned sites in Singapore. When it comes to this topic, it seems that our frequency have a 99.9% match. We both have the urge to explore an unknown site if we happen to pass by one. We downright abhor people who vandalize these locations for god-known reasons, sometimes to the extend of arson. It's such people and those damn metal thieves that gives us a bad name and a harder time accessing such places. If given the opportunity, I would personally shove the metal they sought right up their asses. Seriously.
Too bad his holidays are ending and have to fly off soon. Both my serious urban exploring buddies are studying on the other side of the planet. Winston in New York, US and Marc in Edmonton, Canada. Even though, I have not been to many trips with them but both are the only guys I truly trust when it comes to doing hardcore explorations.
The more we talked, the more hyped up we became and decide to make one last attempt this coming Friday night and possibly Monday(holiday for me) to have an intense trip to as many sites as possible. For I believe by the time he is back for the next holiday, most, if not all such places will be gone or lost it's original flavor through the govt's fine re-touches.
