Okie for those of you who wanted a pair of these yourselves....just follow these steps...of cos you can add whateva modifications be it aesthetic or functional....
Here we go:
Firstly some of the materials that were involved: Cheapo Daiso wood, spray paint and lacquer, and some liquid glow paint for some gimmicky effects!

Ok time to coat the sticks in Kool black.

Coated sticks!!

Since I will never get to do this during the day, we will have to find an express way to dry them....My blow torch never fails to please me!!

After drying, sand off any irregular splinters that might have popped up. Respray and repeat until satisfaction!

Marking the length and.....

cutting it down to size.....

Next up is marking the top for the Nunchuck's chains and bearings.

OK.... time to slim the sides down so the chains and bearings can fit in.
This grinder below might be an overkill but it gets the job done fast!

But in the end, it was not utilised.... Cos the moment I switch it on......WRRRRRRHhh..... Kaoz.. frigging loud!! Even my neighbour peered out to see what happened!
So I resorted to the old fashioned way.....my good old buck knife!

Take your time and slowly shave them off....

Then file them nice and round!

And what do we have here.....another cha si lan noisy tool of death to help me in the grinding out the wavy handle designs. Almost wanted to get that $200 Dremel set for precision grinding but did not feel like eating grass for another month...

After all that drilling and grinding...all those tiny speck of wood on my arms...

Ok the designs are out!

The head section is also filed nice and round...ready for the chains to set in!

Opening the inital hole for the screws....

Securing the screws...hand picked for precise diameter, length and thread size. For the most exquisite fit and finish.....ok enuf crap marketing tok....

The final physical product!!! A work of art if I say so myself! Actually it doesn't look so nice up close due to the rough designing work with limited time and tool. But it's the effort that counts rite? Heheheh...

But wait! How can Tiew's design be so straight forward...esp if it's a present! Orange and green glow paint are added into the wavy grooves in the handles.

Can't be seen here but it the right handle reflects in Orange and the left in green when under UV light!! And when the lights are off....they both glow in bright green!

Final step, the lacquer for abit of protection and abit of matt feel to it...
The base are also markered in silver.

Hanging around to dry off the lacquer....

Hope this little bdae present project can bring a smile back to Derrick's face...at least for a while. Seems like everyone's been a little...stressed lately huh?
