Just back from KL... into reality. Which translate into tons of work. the pass two days was quite hectic, running around the office coordinating several customers at once. Even had a bloke from Hitachi calling me 10 mins after I woke up.
Just a recap on the weekends.
Received a sudden phone call around 11 when I was Kuen practicing (actually was downloading n watching wushu videos). Turned out to be Bog Imp n frens. Sudden change of plans to drive up instead of riding so they decided to chio me along for the trip to Sepang. Had to wake up at 5 the next day...kaoz.. after doing all the xuan feng jiao.
Sat morning was a perfect example of deja vu. Dark, cold, n raining while waiting for Alvin's car at the void deck. The conditions are so damn eeriely similar as last's yr's. At the 2nd link, as expected, there was a long queue of MotoGP pilgrims like us albeit on bikes. All dressed in leather(bike jackets, not wat u think), Really pity them riding 160+km/hr in the rain in the northsouth highways but then again, this is one of the many pains of biking that makes life all the more worth living. Something only bikers know wat I'm yapping about.
This time we were really lao chiau already took us a little more then 2 hrs to reach the track. Bought tickets, saw abit of their practise rounds, shopped around the pasar malam set up to cash in on the event(n tok us tourists). Next was booking into our accomodation at Marriott Hotel in KL. Got Lost on the way to there for an hour before a kind soul offered help at a petrol kiosk.
Marriott Hotel n Mint Hotel(where we stayed last yr) was a real contrast from each other.... wish I got a way of posting the pics here.... U can say the room conditions were as different as a taxi driver from a TP test day hopeful. One had multiple Cable channels while the other had loose cables sticking out of the wall....kaoz.
Did plenty of shopping. Window shopping that is. After contributing $170 to the " victim of advancement in road traffic technology ambush" fund last week, it din leave me much. Noticed that there's a shopping complex that resembles queensway shopping centre, another sim lim square n even a takashimaya lookalike. Quite fascinated by this two storey pet shop in one of the megamalls. It sold exotics like chipmunks n star tortoises (weren't they endangered n illegal to sell?). But was in seventh heaven in one of the sports store. The martial arts section hung up nunchuckus of different weight, material n shapes. Even got a cute one the length of my index finger. There was also kicking pads, tongfas and pepper sprays. Couldn't resist but had to buy the extendable baton that Milla Jovovich used wif so much sey in Resident evil 2. Managed to get it through the custom. Maybe it's cos Alvin's car was covered in so much bird sh*t, the custom officer would either let us pass through fast or suffer the risk of bird flu!
Finally got to visit KLCC n photograph the petronas towers. Also got to try out KL Zouk....in my usual getup! Except that I exchanged my sandals wif Bog Imp's sport shoes...HAh... who can claimed that they went chionging in a logcok T-shirt n shorts n no socks!! Every single staff that passed by me just had to look down...hehe...
The actual race was boring to say the least as usual, Valentino Rossi had to dominate from head to toe as always.... Not much overtaking action but that's to be expected from a highspeed track like Sepang. Colin Edward never even made it into top 10...sianz...n to think he was third on the board in qualifying when I left the place on sat, but somehow he dropped to 13th. At least Barros fought hard in the beginning.
Ok... KL over.... two weekends later it's time for Gunung Ledang.... Hope my knee can take it.
